Helping people reduce pain, restore movement, and support their bodies to function at their best is at the heart of why I chose to become an osteopath. Originally from Edinburgh, where my own journey with osteopathy began at the age of 12. Following extensive dental care, I developed TMJ dysfunction in the jaw and experienced firsthand how osteopathic care can reduce pain, improve mobility, and positively affect both physical and mental wellbeing. That experience led me to pursue a career in osteopathy, graduating with a first-class master's degree from Swansea University. Alongside my osteopathic training, I worked as a soft tissue therapist, with a particular focus on treating pregnant patients and sports-related injuries. I also provided pitch-side support for the Swansea Medics Rugby Team, gaining valuable experience working with sporting injuries in an active environment. These experiences complemented my clinical training and helped me develop my hands-on skills and confidence in treating a diverse range of patients. My background in competitive sport has further deepened my understanding of the musculoskeletal system and human movement to help peopte focus on effective rehabilitation and long-term injury prevention. Through my clinical experience, I have treated a wide range of conditions, including back and neck pain, chronic pain, arthritis, headaches, tendinopathies, fibromyalgia and activity-related injuries. My approach is personal, practical and empathetic. I combine thorough clinical assessment with targeted treatment and tailored functional exercises, to reduce pain, restore comfortable function, and help your body work more effectively. Whether you're dealing with persistent pain, recovering from an injury, or simply want to move and feel better in everyday life, I aim to support you in overcoming the barriers to healing and enable your body to perform at its best.

My own experiences of injuries have informed my understanding of how pain can impact and limit what we truly want to do in life - these inspire my drive to relieve your pain and restore your health, whatever your age, health condition, lifestyle or job may be. Ben Robertson

Helping people move better and feel more confident in their bodies has always been at the core of what I do. Originally from Glasgow and raised in Bath, I grew up playing a variety of sports including football, rugby, and cricket. My interest in osteopathy began at a young age, sitting in on treatment sessions with my dad and becoming fascinated by how the body works and recovers from injury. That early exposure sparked a lasting passion for anatomy and movement, which led me to pursue a career in osteopathy and graduate with a First Class Master’s degree from Swansea University. Following this, I chose to return to Scotland and begin a new chapter in Edinburgh, where I’m passionate about raising awareness of osteopathy and helping more people benefit from it. I have developed a strong interest in the management of musculoskeletal conditions, with particular focus on rehabilitation, exercise therapy, and long-term injury prevention. Through my clinical experience, I have worked with a wide range of patients - from those dealing with persistent pain to individuals aiming to return to sport or improve their overall performance. My approach combines hands-on osteopathic treatment with tailored exercise and movement strategies, ensuring care is both effective and sustainable. I am especially interested in conditions such as tendinopathies, headaches, nerve and spinal pain, and I enjoy helping patients better understand their bodies and build confidence in movement. My aim is to provide clear, supportive, and personalised care that empowers each individual throughout their recovery journey.
